Where proof
meets desire.

Science and marketing. R&D and the C-suite.
What a brand wants to say and what people are ready to hear.

Well Told Advisory is a strategy and communications practice for food and wellness brands. It was built on a simple observation: strong ideas and strong evidence can lose to stories that are easier to understand, believe and want.

Well Told exists to make sure better wins more often.

MEET LAURA

Laura makes the complicated
clear.

Laura Chalela Hoover, MPH, RDN, founded Well Told Advisory after nearly 25 years helping food and wellness companies navigate brand strategy, communications and complex issues.

Before launching the firm, she was an EVP in Edelman’s food and beverage practice, following roles at Golin and Weber Shandwick. Her work has spanned global CPGs, commodity groups and emerging brands. She’s a registered dietitian with a master’s in public health.

She knows the science. She knows the story.

And she knows when they're not saying the same thing.

What clients come back for is how she works. Give her a tangle of research, opinions, competing priorities and deadlines, and she’ll find the thread that matters.

What Laura Brings to the table

  • Rigor

The kind that makes an idea stronger, not heavier.

  • Candor

The kind that gets to the answer without making things difficult.

  • Taste

The instinct to know when something is technically right but still not quite right.

That instinct has shaped everything from brand strategy to her cookbook, Mom’s Sugar Solution (Simon & Schuster).
